Tech setup questions always look manageable until one setting refuses to behave and the whole evening starts disappearing into trial and error. A guy I know ran into that kind of wall while sorting device-related issues and finally stopped pretending another forum tab would magically solve it. Sometimes one clear response beats an hour of half-relevant fixes.
