HighPoint provides two distinct CDI Hardware Platforms tailored to your specific connectivity and performance requirements.

NVMe-over-Fabric (Ethernet: RoCE & TCP)

The Efficient Scale-Out Engine: The RocketStor 4243AS leverages high-speed Ethernet to share storage across the facility. It is designed as a streamlined Fabric-Attached Block Storage solution that prioritizes operational simplicity and ROI over the complexity of multi-controller arrays.

 

Powered WDC RapidFlex C2000 fabric bridge - Optimized for extreme efficiency, the RS4243AS utilizes a hardware-accelerated NVMe-oF Fabric Bridge to deliver consistent performance with near-zero system resource overhead. By offloading the entire NVMe-oF protocol stack to dedicated silicon, the platform ensures maximum throughput without taxing the host CPU.

 

Dual 100GbE Connectivity: Full native support for RoCE v2 and NVMe/TCP, ensuring seamless integration into existing 100G network fabrics while maintaining the highest possible IOPS for distributed workloads.

 

Simplified "Driverless" Connectivity: Deploy using the industry-standard NVMe drivers already provided in enterprise operating systems (Linux, Windows, VMware). No proprietary fabric drivers are required.

 

Dynamic Resource Liquidity: Use logical Namespace mapping to "slice and pour" storage resources directly to specific host initiators on demand, serving up to 120 independent host connections.

NVMe over PCIe

Engineered for: Sub-Microsecond AI Training & GPU-Direct Storage For workloads that cannot tolerate the "Protocol Tax" of networking, our "Cobra" Architecture extends the host’s internal PCIe bus directly to the external storage enclosure.

 

Broadcom-Powered Switching: We integrate our field-proven Gen5 Switching Architecture (PEX89048) to manage the hardware fabric. This provides a non-blocking, synthetic hierarchy that extends the PCIe bus via External CopprLink connectivity, treating remote NVMe drives as if they were seated directly on the host motherboard with zero protocol overhead.

 

PCI-SIG CopprLink™ Connectivity: Utilizing the latest PCI-SIG CopprLink (CDFP) cabling standard, our platforms deliver a dedicated Gen5 x16 (64GB/s) external link.

 

2-Meter External Reach: Unlike passive solutions that suffer from signal "down-training," HighPoint’s managed signal architecture ensures dedicated Gen5 x16 performance over cable distances of up to 2 meters, providing the physical flexibility needed for high-TDP AI racks and external GPU expansion.

 

Hardware Composition: Resources are reallocated via Hardware-Level PCIe Zoning, allowing architects to physically "wire" specific NVMe drives to specific CPUs on the fly.
