However, system architects and AI administrators routinely hit a physical wall: PCIe slot starvation. In compact 1U, 2U, and edge server nodes, physical motherboard slots are scarce, rigid riser cards restrict airflow, and host CPUs lack sufficient lane allocation or native bifurcation support to expand peripherals seamlessly.
