Debian

Debian was first released in 1995, and is one of the oldest Linux-based operating systems currently in distribution. It has been actively updated and maintained by members of the Debian Project, a community of volunteer developers, since 1993. Debian is non-commercial, and is comprised entirely of free, open-source software. Debian remains one of the most popular distributions of Linux and has a very large community of professional and personal users.
