Performance-Focused NVMe Hardware Architecture
HighPoint NVMe RAID AICs and connectivity HBAs benefit from decades of engineering and design expertise, and are capable of saturating x16 lanes of PCIe Gen4 or Gen3 host bandwidth. The highly flexible, performance-focused hardware architecture is unique to our NVMe solutions. Unlike the vast majority of competing solutions, HighPoint RAID AICs and HBAs fully leverage the capabilities of PCIe Switch Chipsets; Broadcom’s PEX PEX88048 (PCIe Gen4) and PEX8747 (PCIe Gen3) ICs. This innovative design ensures bandwidth doesn’t go to waste; up to x4 lanes can be allocated to each device port, as needed.
For example, the 8-port SSD7540 PCIe Gen4 x16 AIC will assign x2 lanes to each port when hosting a full complement of SSDs. However, if only 4 SSDs are attached, x4 lanes will be available for each port. The SSD7540’s ability to react “on-the-fly” is a major advantage over conventional NVMe adapter or controller, which will simply distribute bandwidth equally amongst each port (even if said port is not occupied), or defer to the motherboard for lane distribution (bifurcation requirement).
Cross-Sync RAID Technology
HighPoint's revolutionary Cross-Sync NVMe RAID technology allows administrators to combine two independent PCIe RAID controller cards to function as a single device; effectively doubling your transfer bandwidth and storage capacity!
The process is seamless and entirely transparent to the host system. The Windows or Linux OS will recognize a Cross-Sync RAID array as an ordinary "single drive". A dual-card Cross-Synced configurations can deliver up to 55,000MB/s of transfer performance!

HighPoint SSD7500 & SSD7000 Series controllers do not require motherboard platforms with Bifurcation support, or any specialized software releaased by SSD manufacturers; and AMD-based and Intel-based system with a dedicated PCIe 3.0 or 4.0, x8 or x16 slot can now take full advantage of the industry's fastest storage solution.
HighPoint SSD7500, SSD7000 & SSD6200 Series M.2 or U.2/U.3 ports are capable of supporting any industry standard off-the-shelf M.2 or U.2/U.3 NVMe SSD.
Complete Fan Control
HighPoint SSD7500 & SSD7000 Series NVMe RAID controllers now feature Fan Control via the WebGUI Management software. Customers can adjust fan-speed using the SHI tab, and select from 3 speed settings. In addition, the fan can be completely powered off for silent operation. Administrators can monitor temperatures of each NVMe SSD using SHI, which can track the state of individual devices via SMART attributes, and adjust fan speeds to keep temperatures in check.
THis feature is ideal for media and design applications that require low-noise or silent working environments, and platforms already equipped with robust cooling systems.
