Arch

First released in 2001, Arch Linux is based on Debian, for exclusive use with x86_64 architecture. Arch is self-described as a “pragmatic” distribution targeted towards the DIY crowd and experienced Linux professionals and administrators. Though distributed freely, it is developed for its core audience, rather than the general public; it is maintained and updated by the Arch community, for the Arch community.
