When RAID is configured on the controller the system will not boot up(1343)

When I create a RAID array on the controller, the system does not boot from my onboard SATA controller it tries to boot to the RAID array on the RocketRAID controller?

Answer

This issue can be solved my re-flashing the controller BIOS.

Step 1: Download BIOS software package from the product page for your controller from www.highpoint-tech.com
Step 2: Create a bootable USB thumb drive to MS-DOS prompt
Step 3: Run the LOAD.exe utility to re-flash the controller BIOS
Step 4: Example: LOAD.exe /C xxx.xxx
Step 5: Tab to the menu of items INT13 and Reallocate EBDA and disable both of those items
Step 6: Exit and continue with the BIOS update until the flash is complete
