The RocketRAID 1542 is a unique 4-channel Serial ATA RAID host adapter: 2 external SATA channels, and 2 internal SATA channels. The 4 channels can be used independently, or combined to support a variety of single-disk and RAID configurations. The external channels are ideal for removable storage applications, and are designed for use with the RocketMate 1000, 1100, and 1110 disk enclosure. The two internal channels are designed to support standard disk configurations, where the hard disks are fixed into the computer chassis.

The RocketRAID 1542 provides multi level RAID support, including RAID 0, 1, 10, JBOD, as well as powerful software management functions. The RocketRAID 1542 Serial ATA RAID host adapter increases disk performance to 1.5Gb/s, and

supports most of today's popular OSs' such as Windows 9x/ME/NT4.0/2,K Windows XP, Red Hat, SuSE, Turbo, Caldera Linux and FreeBSD.

As a high-performance, affordable RAID solution, the RocketRAID 1542 is well suited for nearly any corporate, industrial, or home environment application. The RocketRAID 1542 Serial ATA RAID host adapter is ideal for small LAN servers, critical business data storage, PC gaming, and high-end personal storage needs. The RocketRAID 1542 is not only able to connect with Serial ATA hard disks, but also can be utilized with standard IDE hard disk drives.
